I quit the scene!!!!
Well, I already wanted to go away from c64-scene after I left Samar (a few months ago), but I quickly decided to continue with my own label proNoise.
Anyway, now I really quit the scene.
IMHO I have wasted too much time by composing. And for what? For nothing!
Sure, I've only released a few tunes (still I have about 400 unfinished worktunes just from GT2), but I'm really pissed about the scene. :I
@cadaver
I guess now it's party time? :D |

I'm not sure, but maybe it's like if you post enough to the GT2 thread and make enough worktunes and/or releases, then you get to the secret endgame-CSDB, which is so much better & more interesting than the ordinary? But it's a pity you left halfway.. |

Well, believe it or not: abracadabra is mira/proNoise. I gave him a similar email to mine because we share computers. However, I guess this is confusing. :-I |

I cant quit the scene, considering Ive never really been a part of it. :)
I occassionally code some stuff, which then rots on my disks for an eternity. Then I code some more.
I really should release something, but meh.

He shouldn't be a such a girl, stfu, reduce the number of posts/topics and make some normal tunes everybody can run on a vanilla C64.
Maybe then he will be asked for a group.

We obviously aren't up-to-date for not being able to listen to the stereo tunes. :)
But I wonder what was the final nail?
- Anyone not agreeing with him about the F3 key
- Anyone not agreeing with him about pattern-to-wavetable
- JackAsser's GT2 modifications weren't anything supernatural, but just buffering the 4x SID writes
- Or something else? |

Well, many people asked me for joining their groups. But I had to say no, since I'm not very interested in composing music for demos/diskmags & games.... etc.
About GT2 improvements: I've never heard any complaints my requested features for GT2. In fact we wouldn't be there without my dedication.
Anyway, where is your problem? You can choose from over 30,000 mono SIDs and then do you complain because somebody writes 2-3 stereo tunes? So, what?

Nata: you should however notice that many of your requests had to do with convenience features not needed by that many serious composers, and personal obsessions. Several times, inspiration for actual dramatic improvements came from other directions.
But you've quitted, so don't reply :) |

@cadaver
I guess it was Shift+U and the daily fight against ADSR Bugs :D
However, just look to the version history and then reconsider!
Actually I remember very well each single feature I've requested.

Seriously, for a short time c64 scene was quite interesting, but now it's just boring.
IMHO 3 years of active scene composing is enough. There is absolutely no need to continue.
(Well, after they have released my last tunes there won't be new music from me)
Actually, I'm quite pissed about the attitude some sceners have. So, who is a real scener, who not? Hmmmm?
It was often discussed, but only a few sane people have found the right words for it.
@beers for fears
It's however alarming to hear from you words like "forum-sceners" or similar.
I fact, CSDB is only one (more or less important) meeting place for the c64-scene.
It's only a part of the scene and nothing more.
Anyway, why I tell you this? I don't know. Clever people will understand, but the rest... |

And the hardest part
Was letting go, not taking part
Was the hardest part
...
I could feel it go down
Bittersweet, I could taste in my mouth
Silver lining the cloud
Oh and I
I wish that I could work it out
...
Everything I know is wrong
Everything I do, it's just comes undone
And everything is torn apart
And the hardest part
Was letting go, not taking part
You really broke my heart |
