Singular browser and FB-Net: I need help

Hi,
I cannot understand how run and configure singular browser. In the package recompiled and downloaded from the official site, there're no d64 file or similar. How can I run it?

Thank you all.

Fulvio

This is the file I've downloaded but there's no d64 image inside. Does it need to be recompiled? Starting from it can you explain me how to run in using 64HDD?

Thank you anyway.

Erh.. the file named "sgr browser 0.5" in that disk-only archive is a PRG file. Just extract it and give it a .PRG extension, i guess, and throw it in your 64HDD's general direction.
Oh, and prey you have a RR-Net or TFE.. wtf is FB-Net!?

For sure. Today's newbie is tomorrow's Stormbringer. In my day (the 90s), newcomers were automatically considered to be lamers. Too many good people were chased away from the 64 scene. A shame. In today's enlightened scene, new sceners are welcome.

Thank you, I discovered it yesterday evening after trying on Hosx64.. :D
I've configured the config file with an hex editor, but when I try to write a web site on the browser I get a blank screen with strange corrupted characters. I've got a Pal C64 with ceramic VIC chip: on the singular website I've downloaded VICII version. I hope this is the right one.

I registered myself on this forum because I thoke it was full of skilled people. I follow C64 community since DTV was shipped and ready to be hacked. I hope that also other people here will consider new users as much as you do. :)

Are you talking about the real C64 Scene or the average c64 forum with people subscribing with their peek and poke problems?
I consider this (using real c64 scene terms) Simon as a lamer who should fuck off to the Lemon64 forums.

I've not registered myself only to solve the first problem I've encountered. I hope to follow c64 scene because I really like demo scene on this machine.
I'm not here to disturb anyone.
Let me say that is the first time I see people making lot of noise just because a new user appear on the forum... my God...

It was a funny twist, but please Oswald, don't take every opportunity to flame the mods and especially your special friend Groepaz. It's been so nice and quiet the last weeks, so why start all over again? :-/

Everyone has their definition of lamer but generally it was accepted in the past to be someone who would always keep a BBS
busy leeching, someone who would contribute nothing to the scene as a whole, someone who would remove someone else's intro off their crack and put their own intro on it, someone who would put 50 calling codes on a single post. There were many reasons that could cause someone to be a lamer in the eyes of others. My personal favorite was a guy who tried to gain access to Mysts of Avalon BBS, claiming to have "hacked" games for ESI.
