goto80 live on swedish tv

Hello!

This evening, goto80 + me will make fools out of ourselves on Swedish television, playing some fucked up c64 music in a TV show for children (goto80 is singing in falsetto, wearing cucumber over his body :). It will be aired on Barnkanalen ("Child Channel") at 19.30. So... If you live in Sweden and if you also happen to have some kind of TV capture device, then please record this stuff (preferably in nice quality), since neither of us own that kind of hardware.

Laters..

If i read the tv-guide correctly, the show is called Rampljuset and the material is made available on the web afterwards, http://www.svt.se/svt/jsp/Crosslink.jsp?d=96727&lid=20081003&lp..

@Hollowman: All true! ...but the quality isn't... that great. Would be nice to get hold of a proper rip somehow, if possible.

Have to see this. Melvin likes to watch Barnkanalen too so I'd better cover his eyes or he'll be destroyed for life. ;)

Ha ha, nice performance! Was that a Korg VC-10?

It didn't go very well with the 10 year olds though.
I guess you are not mainstream enough. :)

So I obviously missed it, turned on the telly maybe 19:40. Saw that mime girl, the balance act & the firemen dancing... all in vain.. argh... ah well, re-run tomorrow at 14:00 I heard.

Hehe.. yeah.. well.. I can't say that we had anything like an idea of what we wanted to achieve with that kind of tune+look, hehe.. The whole happening was just bizarre, nice and amusing. Anyone see the connection between c64 and cucumber? No? :)

@tlr: Yes, that is a VC-10.

Wow. That was... amazing, lacking better words to describe it. The salad-suit with onions and leek totally overshadowed the rest of the performance, though. Skoogaan!!

"På fredag den 10 oktober bjuder Gonza på tv-spelssång med Visa Röster"

Not my cup of tea, but will probably be fun anyway. Let's see what outfits they will wear.

Fucking brilliant. Some kind of cowbell psychosis remix of the performance. :) Honestly, I have no idea who is behind this. :) Anyone have a clue? :)

Very cool, although he should have danced more, so the vegetables would have flied off in all directions. That would probably also have helped activating those ignorant children.

I like to think that "beetpop" was a pun playing on the fact that Mr. 80 was covered in vegetables.

Is it not called "bitpop", as in bits and bytes or am I totally off the chart? I personally call my music electronic, no matter it be done with a c64, amiga or a pc.

Yes, they are indeed making use of the term "bitbop", as in bits and bytes. Not that think this term makes a whole lot of sense myself, in the kind of world that I am living in, but... yeah.. the term exists at least, appropriate or not.
