Ultimate1541 wont take USB sticks
Hi,
I used to be a happy U1541 owner, but suddenly the cartridge wont recognize any USB stick. I took a new one (same model as the one I used to use), formatted FAT32. Nothing.
Just wondering if there's anything I can or should check out?

You probably mean the Ultimate2 or the Ultimate2+ since the original 1541Ultimate (the first one) does not have a USB port ;-)
Have you tried another model USB thumb drive? Have you upgraded the firmware recently? (the 3.something firmware has new USB code and there are still some USB devices that go crazy, but for me all little usb thumb drives and microsd readers work now).
If you have a 1541u2+, have you tried all three USB-ports?
You can also check if your PSU is still delivering enough power. |

And as always - make sure expansion port and the 1541U contacts are clean and tight. |

Thank you guys.
The PSU of the c64 was causing the problem. Once we replaced it with another PSU, everything worked again.

Had same problem and fixed upgrading firmware. |
