mmc replay + rrnet
ok I really need some help getting my rrnet and warpcopy to work again.
after I finished the derby ram collection my laptop died so I got a new one and I forgot to setup everything.
a year and a half later I have some more disks to transfer so I went to set everything up again and it's now not working.
ive tried everything I thought I knew to get this up and running again to no avail. maybe I just became older and forgetful. maybe I was just lucky in the beginning getting it setup I don't know.
I need someone help to set this back up for me. I presume it's something im not doing on the pc side of things as everything seems to be fine on the c64 side. I have loaded Contiki and the ip addresses seem fine etc but when I setup the ethernet it doesn't want to talk to the c64 fully. I have tried pinging the c64 and that seems to work but when I try to send the server on warpcopy it says no response from the c64 so im stuck and pulling out my hair to which I don't have much of that anyway.
I have pm'd a few people but they have not got back to me as yet so I really do need some help.
if this isn't the right place to ask for such help could the mods delete the post once ive gained the help I need please.
I think I need someone to run through the part of setting the ethernet adapter up and how to check the netbook and the c64 are indeed talking to each other. if I need to do anything special with codenet and compatability modes and the same with warpcopy.
I have a netbook with xp on one with 7 on and one with 10 on. I can use any aslong as someone can help me as ive tried on all 3 and get the same problem. seem to be stuck with the last step of sending the server, but like I say its probably something before that step that I haven't done correctly
thanks

Quote: after pinging 192.168.0.4
I get destination host unreachable
cable is direct from pc to 64
Change the IP in Warpcopy to 192.168.0.64, as Groepaz tells you. |

You might need to use a cross-cable to directly connect your modern computer to your RRnet. |

Or plug some HUB or switch inbetween. |

OR just use different IPs for C64 and PC. i am not a network expert but MAYBE that works? |
