Sam's Journey Downloadable
https://csdb.dk/search/?seinsel=all&search=sam%27S+journey&Go.x..
It seems nearly all the releases of Sam's Journey have their download links publicly available. I think there is a 12 month (minimum) hide policy, but don't you think this one deserves more time hidden ? Or have the publisher/coders consented to the older version being available |

Are you talking on the publisher’s behalf? Publishers usually don’t send crackers to ask these kind of questions. ;)
Jokes aside, why should CSDb treat these cracks differently than others? Last year we expnded the offline policy from 6 months to one year. If you don’t want your crack to be available, why crack it in the first place? Not releasing your crack is probably the best solution, to be honest. |

Or release cracks as patches to the original, thus you can still compete for first releases etc. |

Quoting Knight RiderOr have the publisher/coders consented to the older version being available since when have cracking groups cared about what publishers want?
Quoting hedningwhy crack it in the first place? Not releasing your crack is probably the best solution, to be honest. I agree.
Quoting JackAsserOr release cracks as patches to the original not that it makes any difference, someone else will just upload a full crack of whatever software anyway. If the c64 scene is going to be reduced to just releasing patches then the scene will become a total farce. I think it's cool that there's an option to patch in stuff for those that have purchased originals, but just releasing patches? RIP c64 scene. |

So what. If cracker/group A releases only a patch and not the complete releases, cracker/group B will apply the patch and release the complete release. And that will be also in here, once found on the web.
All this hiding cracks in CSDb when they're widely spread all over the place (and not only bbses) is just hypocrisy. |

Just dont show entries without a file that have a releasedate not more than one year ago _at all_. Removes all related problems and bickering immediately. |
