A little help from fellow nerds?
Hi everyone.
First of all I know this post is a bit out of bounds here, but I take my chance, as we are a bit helpless, (and because I'm admin here. ;P )
The problem is that my girlfriends Facebook profile just vanished yesterday. No warning, and no 'you account has been closed' or anything. It's just not there!
When she tries to log in, it says there are no account attached to the email / or we get an error.
If we 'force' to view the profile, like find a messenger thread, and click on her profile we get 'This page is not available right now' or something similar..
Any help welcome.. And how do you contact FB - if possible?
Thanks in advance

Have you checked out things like https://www.facebook.com/help/185747581553788 and tried to contact them with an appeal for reactivation?
Pretty sure that kind of thing happens all the time and there's some sort of standard course of action for it. |

Quoting KrillHave you checked out things like https://www.facebook.com/help/185747581553788 and tried to contact them with an appeal for reactivation?

Thanks.
Yes, we have tried all those kind of appeal-forms, and 'i got hacked' etc.
All of them returns 'there is no account with that e-mail' - and yes, we are 100% (101 if possible) that the e-mail is correct!
Actually some of them says "it's been to long since your account was deactivated, so we can't do shit" (or something similar), but it was in use the very same day, and all previous days before it vanished on April 4th.
Somehow the entire account just vanished - which should not be possible?
So my guess is that either someone very evil completly deleted the account with no trace, which should not be possible?? or some technical shit happened at FB which they havn't fixed yet!?
Well..
Thanks for your time, and I'll have to share my FB account for the time being. ;D |

There was a major Facebook security breach just recently (login and other data of more than 500 million accounts leaked).
So i guess they are busy sorting this out while denying any responsibility until blatantly obvious. Business as usual. |

I wouldnt be surprised if they simply suspended all accounts that showed "suspicous activity" (whatever that means) recently.
Good time to move to a less questionable platform :) |

Assume this account was a 'personal' account?
I don't have a personal account but manage a Facebook page for my business and have endless troubles with this with the same errors you mention.
Facebook's internal linking is an absolute spaghetti mess. |
