UK Sceners & X'23
Just wondering if anyone from the UK is planning on attending X'23 next year and if so would you be interested in a travel companion. |

@Case, Where in the UK do you live?
I live in the North East and I was thinking of driving to X party via Hull or Newcastle ferry ... providing that 3 (or maybe 4 maximum) sceners would like to join me in the car... I'll be the chauffeur. ;) ... also don't be scared by the ferry prices, that's my business and I want to do a favour for those who can't afford to go to X by themselves. (but I'm NOT paying for your X party tickets, just to make it clear)
If you live in the Midlands / South, either get a train to the north somewhere, or get in touch with someone like Leming or Booker... they live in London and they drive to X via Dover.
... This is still very early days to plan this out though. It all depends who is really going or not (including myself).
btw, I'll make sure the car is big enough, unlike the car I used during my recent trip to Poland/Hungary. ;) |

@Conrad, I live in Carlisle in the north west. Would gladly contribute to fuel costs. I was looking at newcastle ferry, possible @Mibri wil be going, he is in Newcastle. |

wonder if that changed with a different passport, that's still in the EU.
besides you'd only be bringing damaged n broken stuff over for CBA to solder / fix. ;-)
just a pity there isn't any PCW shows, they were great. |

Hiya! Case and Conrad, if there can be a space for me in your plans, then I would love to join you and contribute some £ for the journey. Let me know! |

Hey Mibri. No problem at all. :) I'll PM you the details later on (still early days yet). Thanks for letting me know. |

Just under 1 month to go for X'2023... 1 big car with four C64 sceners in it consisting of me, Case/Padua, Mibri/MSL and Maestro/Transfer Team. We are going to the party via Hull ferry (sails on Thursday 1st June in the evening, arrives in .nl on Friday morning, with plenty of time to get to X party).
There is one spare seat left for the car trip (ferry is all paid for, just some money for the fuel would be appreciated ;)), so if you want to join us, let me know as soon as you can via PM. (First come first served basis).
Our car route is Carlisle -> Newcastle -> County Durham -> A1(M)/M62 -> Hull. - this route will not change.
If you live anywhere else but can get a return train ticket to either Carlisie, Newcastle or Hull train station, I can pick you up no problem.
That's all. See you there! :) |

So jealous of you guys.. technically, I still live in the North East, even though I left Gateshead 2 years ago… but I suspect you can’t pick me up - and nor would I want you to, actually, given the driving route from here to there..! (Some places being Quite possibly even worse than Hull..!)
Have a great time! |
