Most productive groups pr.member
I was just checking out the ´fun stuff´ and noticed something rather stupid.
There is this list of "most productive groups per member" chart.
Closer scrutiny showed that the top 5 ´groups´ have only 1 member.
Is this some sort of multiple-personality-syndrom?
Wouldn´t it be -a little- more interesting to see a list of "most productive scener" or something? |

Indeed.
Most demos by a group or most cracks by a group and things like that would also be fun. :)

And how about a "most groups per scener" chart?
Finally I'd have something to hold to...

The 'most productive groups per member' made sense at a point.. that was back when there was no one-man-groups (and I vote for deleting such stupidity) and not so many cracks in CSDb. Maybe this should be adjusted to only include actual groups (e.g. 2+ members) and no cracks.
But then again, with MyNoter V1, MyNoter V1.1, MyNoter V1.11 etc. in the database for some groups...
hmm.. CSDb goes to hell, huh? *smirks* |

@Seven
Thanx for enlightening me.
I now understand the reason for such a chart.
It surely fits in this "new" era of demos only.
Maybe the chart can be adjusted,so it will only count artistic releases?
But hopefully the people maintaining this database, can be persuaded to make additional lists, regarding different skills (coding,graphix,music,mag-editing and -yes- cracking)
It would be great to see the people that have contributed so much to the scene,by simply pressing a button.
When I browse through CSDb,I occasionally find somebody I had never heard of and it shows this guy has done A LOT of work.
I have used the "most productive etc.."-list to find some busy-bees,but it is insufficient when it comes to people like Jailbird ;),who frequently change groups.
Anyway,I hope there will be extra lists if it isn´t too much trouble.
But CSDb going to hell?
I would probably follow it there until I am nothing but ashes. :P |

Hm, didn't know of this, but wouldn't it basicly mean that if you released 10 notefiles with garbage a day, that would still be deemed "productive" ;-) I mean, quantity over quality? |

Short answer: yes
Longer answer: people who add that stuff to the database oughta be shot... =)

Amazing...
Forget about my previous post.
I am off to bed now and hope this Notebook-crap was just a nightmare when I wake up tomorrow.
