C64 Colour Addon
I've just wondered - has anyone worked so far on any colour addon, altering the set of the usual 16? Is it possible? Theoretically, device should retrieve values from the usual VIC maps but point to custom defined 16col palette instead, which furthermore points either to device's fixed 256col (16b table) or RGB values (48b table). All char limitations would be identical and derivative of memory layout, it's just replacement of palette. Where should node like this be placed in video pipeline? |

Looks like really cool project! Only too bad it's only for breadbins so far :) |

I have only heard about it because a Canadian guy calling my bbs is posting about different ways he test it. |

Got one of these in my EVO build. You can switch between different emulated VIC versions, change the palette, use an 80 column mode. It's cool but until it's more common it's mostly just for PAL/NTSC switching for me. |
