1581
I have a Commodore 1581 disk drive... Works great, although it's not very compatible with 1541... but...
What would you estimate the (EUR / USD) value of 1581 these days ? I think they're quite rare... ? Are they ?

It depends on where you are. They are fairly easy to get hold of in the US, but a little harder to find in Europe. I paid $45 for a 1581 I got from the US two years ago, and something like EUR 120 for a refurbished 1581 with JiffyDOS, but that was 10 years ago and from a store.

Typically ~40 EUR. Ofcourse, prices are unpredictable on auctions. |

just like hannenz said, bad luck for us teutonic commodore vultures. ebay and alike auction services ain't good for getting a 1581 for a low price, used xboxes to sometimes sell for less than that. =) |
