I use VICE and the screenshots I'm uploading look a bit dull.
do you guys use the standard colorpalette or are there better alternatives?
please tell me what the best colorpalette for VICE is.

I use the palette by Deekay or Cupid. |

A really saturated palette is the one from C64.COM (called C64HQ, which is selectable in WinVICE v1.20). |

For all my Emulation and Conversion Tasks, I use peptos Palette:

Like someone else said: Disable PAL emulation. Vice stores a wrong palette if PAL emulation is enabled. |

In my opinion, Pepto's (I think that's the VICE default palet) looks best. Deekay's and C64 HQ's palets aren't too kind for the eyes. |

Peptos palette is definitely one of the best, but it's not the default in Vice. It's a similar one though, but a bit more saturated and perhaps brighter.. |

For good screenshots with PAL emulation, take a screenshot with alt-PrintScreen or CMD-Opt-4 instead.

Too much work. It's easier to just save the .png directly from Vice. |
