Crossdevelopment tools

I have built a set of tools for crossdevelopment (PC->C64/128), and I need beta testers to try them out and suggest features. (And help to write the dox!) There's a sprite editor and animation studio, a MCBM Editor, and a cross-assembler with a syntax-highlighting IDE. All the tools load, edit, and save, and there are a lot of cool features already in, but I need some feedback, and here at csdb seem to be the sort of people who might enjoy tools like these, so check 'em out and let me know what you think, eh!

Sorry about the doubling. That'll teach me to click refresh. Anyway, that previous message was for cadaver.

CyberBrain: ESC gets you out of zoom, and I will work an unzoomed display into spred.

when i use the pencil in normal-mode, a mouseclick does _not_ set a pixel. i hav to move the mouse a little bit while pressing the mousebutton down, then the pixel is set.

in zoom-mode, however, the pixel is immediately set, when i click the mouse-button.

can you fix that, that in normal-mode a pixel is also set, when i click the mouse-button even if i don't move the mouse?

and, yes, a 8x8 grid (or 4x8 grid for multicolor) is quite useful.

:-)

this tool could be really cool and useful, if it's finished!

Just wondering, did any of you guys check out the Help/About feature on any of those tools?

How about FLI-sprites in the sprite editor?

(that means >1 sprites on top of eachother - has nothing to do with real FLI, except that it gives more colors in a small area)

Ofcause you should be able to f.e. put a single-color sprite on top of a multicolor one (which very often is usefull) - not just singlecolor on singlecolor or multicolor on multicolor.

I think that's a big thing missing :)

Six, those are some nice tools. Painter #6 is too slow to be useful right now though, even on my 850 MHz laptop. gif/bmp/png import would be welcome too (that works on color index instead of rgb values!).

Keep up the good work.

Six: Good tools!
Especially the paint program could be my number-one crossdev tool, if only:
- it would run faster
- I could see the 4x8 blocks
- it would support plain Hires
- I could import other images

Keep it going!

Cool. All this feedback is great. So many good ideas. Thanks guys, and I'll be sure to credit the people who suggested the new features/fixes in the dox. Speed is definately the biggest issue on the painter though.

Did anyone mess with the animation studio on spred?

There were no docs and I couldn't figure it out by clicking randomly, so I gave up :)
