Entry names?

Gents, I just noticed that there's a huge mess of files from Micropose soccer versions.

Some of them are called simply 'Micropose soccer'
some ...outdoor, some ...indoor, some 5-a-side some 6-a-side. and actually there are various versoins

I was planning to rename them all to 'Microprose Soccer - XXX' xxx=being the version of the game.
That way hoping to get a bit of clarity in here.

Can i go through all of them without people moaning that i renamed the entries, or are there any objections upfront?

Just remember to put the original name of the release in the aka field then else we'll still get duplicates.

Thanks for the tip Zyron, i think that should be manditory when changing files from now on actually and advice i'll certainly stick to!

Other then that, if i look at the remember edition i finally realised there only was 1 version, containing both the euro and american (6-a-side) version.

If I look at the Afl version TPM even has a note there mentioning he fucked up the side-b (6-a-side) in doing their version. Other have both versions but as a loose file, so there's no telling if the original crack was 1 or 2 files after it being copied alongst the line. :(
So i'll just let this one be for the moment, to much of a hassle and still got enough disks to look through as it is.

I actualled used that tip on International Basketball today Zyron. There were several entries added as 'basketball' so i changed them all to international basketball (mason researched the title and we came to talk about it) but put basketball in the aka field, is that how you meant?

Yeah, sort of. One should always use the aka field when there's a difference between the filename & the "real name", may it be the full name of a game or a complete demo name given in the intro. The complete/correct name should be put as title & the often truncated filename (16 chars limit) as aka.
