I use a Swedish keyboard where some characters are placed on the so called "dead keys", those being "*" and "-" for instance. This works great under Windows XP but on my Xubuntu 8.10 install these are not displayed. In the testkbd program those keys evaluate to the same keysym (314 I think it was).
