Silesia Party 3

Hello everyone :)

the Silesia Party 3 will be held on 18-20 September 2009 in Traffic club/skatepark, Czeladz, Poland. The party place is the same as for SP2.

what is to be expected?

--> http://silesiaparty.pl/uk_information.php

and english quick link to english website is http://en.silesiaparty.pl :)

Please register yourself on the website if you plan to party with us on the last Commodore-only party in Poland!

We hope to have bigger budget for the party than last year, so we should be able to provide more support, like some food on the partyplace.

Please give us suggestions and ask questions :)

Thanks for submitting entries for your fantastic party. Too bad I couldn't be there.

I'd wish "some" party organizers could learn from this:
“Allow outsiders to submit entries for your fantastic celebrations held in different parts of the world!”

I don't understand that at all. What's the point of releasing at a party that you're not attending? Why not release straight to CSDB, or to an event dedicated to releasing miscellaneous remote entries like En Mazza Data?

sofasceners can go home. whats wrong with actually attending a party?

imho remote entries are a necessary evil for small parties that otherwise wouldnt get enough entries to establish a compo at all. other than that... please no.

Well actually I promised myself to go away this party
after this edition, but when everybody tell you "see you next year" when they leave the party place, and they're not doubting even a bit by asking "will there be a party next year?" what can i do?....

see you at Silesi4 ;)

"imho remote entries are a necessary evil for small parties that otherwise wouldnt get enough entries to establish a compo at all"

Silesia 3 compos with remote entries: 2 demos, 4 4ks, 12 tunes, 19 pics
without: 2 demos, 3 or 4 4ks, 8 tunes, 11 pics

i don't think it's a 'necessary evil' then, rather a tradition.

I guess if there are parties which disallows remote entries that's really fine. But then, there should be also parties which does allow them.

Simple.

We got both. Both traditional. So, everyone can choose their pill :)

ps. and it's definitely better to release remote stuff at the party which allows such, rather than on the web. It keeps the scene spirit and keeps CSDb function properly - that is, to collect all the stuff.

Typically, if I want to go for a party I book the holidays far in advance.

For instance, for X-partes I book once the date is announced, which is usually over a half of year ahead. Or so.
