Attaching Cartridges to VICE
Some time ago I attached a Cartridge to VICE without any problems. On trying today all I got was the error message "Invalid cart image"
I downloaded the Carts from:
http://www.lemon64.com/?mainurl=http%3A//www.lemon64.com/apps/l..
Im also curious as to why VICE lists cartridges, rather than simply having a single option: attach cartridge

The reason for VICE having many different options is quite simple: not every cartridge is in CRT format. Good example is RR compatible bin images. Without crt header Vice can not tell which cartridge image it is without same help from the user. Maybe you are attaching images with wrong menu options? |

Uhuuu its black magic to binscan/recognize cart files!
I bet a simple 32 byte string would be enough for VICE to detect cart type on any file.. tsk tsk |

It's not that simple. Anyway part of reason is that when Vice has been created nobody had idea about future cartridges. Secondly cartridges like Expert needs additional options to be fully emulated. |
