Announcing Sixtyforever Magazine

Having gotten the ultimate vote of confidence in my magazine idea (a content contribution from someone who shall remain secret until the first issue is uploaded), I decided to go ahead and do a magazine. I'm currently hard at work on doing some game and demos reviews, then I plan to write an in-depth look at the C64 and DTV parts of VICE 2.2 (including new features and compatibility testing with demos known to break in earlier versions of VICE), dash out a quick editorial and put the whole thing together. The whole thing should be ready for download by early March. If you want a look at our logo, see the magazine website at http://madcrow.x10hosting.com/sixtyforever/

Also, feel free to comment about the idea of the magazine here or even to contribute extra articles. Any quality content contribution will go in the magazine and any good/bad/funny comments will go in the letters page.

A mag is always nice! Personally I would like to see more focus on real hardware than emulation issues. (I don't have time/energy to contribute myself though. :)

Ideally, I'd like to cover both. Sadly I don't have the physical space to keep real hardware around, so I'll need others to write those articles.

Just a quick status update. Due to a certain two week-long sporting event that kept me glued to my TV, I'm running about two weeks behind in the creation of the first issue of the magazine. It should be done by the middle of the month now. But it WILL BE DONE.
