C64 for everyone......
I want to share from a great idea by James Svärd:
"Only the true elite is active and don't live by reputation of yesterdays."
I think that the people in the demoscene should not differentiate into exclusivity, but to help you. We are fighting for the same thing!

Not sure why this is even discussed. It's pointless :)
Elite or not elite ... who cares as long as there is good healthy competition and activity on the scene.
Respect is something you earn for something you do - doesn't matter if you did it 20 years ago or yesterday. I honor the pioneers and cheer the dudes who have the time to keep the 8-bit cookin' :)

Don't have so high thoughts about these guys ... remember that elite = old farts with nothing better to do :)
In all honesty I don't think that many of the old-schoolers think so high of themselves. I do remember there were some self-righteous jackasses back then who thought so highly of themselves - doesn't make them legendary by any means.
If you ask me nobody is 'elite' ... but there are some 'legendary' people/groups that changed the scene and contributed in extraordinary ways - game changers. Maybe that is the right term.
To me 1001 crew, The Judges, Bones, NATO, TST, Horizon, Upfront, Ian&Mic and a few others are the legends of the early years. Crest, Booze and Camelot definitely have establisted themselves are legendary of todays standards.
Hail All! ... now lets drink some beer |

Originally this term was used in connection with articles and products of high quality.
And I feel this way. |

I agree that the elite does not equal the legendary |
