Remember CSDb is the result of the scene, not the other way round.
Don't over complicate things by judging the existance of a 'scene' by reading some bullshit from random people on a forum. The scene has always had its fair share of wankers and tbh they make it all a bit more colorful. Back in the days we (Dutch USA) were pretty cocky ourselves too, trying to prove we were bigheaded teenagers or something. Reading back all that territorial pissing crap makes me giggle. Nothing to worry about. Some adults can't seem to let go of that behaviour though, big deal? I think not. ;)
Just let your creative juices flow. Long as that keeps happening the 'scene' will be very much alive and kicking. Ignore the ignorant.
