how was that damn game called?
Hej all,
well, I don't know how the game is called I have always in mind, and I have watched also many screenshots here and at gamebase, but maybe someone can remember... though I don't have much information about. ;)
It must be around 83-86 I guess and I have played that quite long with some friends... and all of the game I can remember is that it was some kind of jump 'n run game, like that jumpman with a small sprite as player and ladders to climb and stuff like that... it had really lots of rooms/screens and I think your mission was to find the (12) zodiac signs....
...damn' I'm getting old! (c;
does anyone have a clue/idea? maybe the game? |

no, though I can remember that one also very good, playing it for hours, hehe...
that one has no ladders, and think it had much simpler grafix.
also an "overview"-screen with all the rooms you've already visited...

Speaking of Montezuma's Revenge, allow me shameless self-advertizing :P
Some years ago we made a remake of MR for handheld devices. =D

@Zyron: No it wasn't Montezumas Revenge, I knew that and also liked that one!
@tlr: also played that one for hours, but it isn't the one I'm looking for...
@Inge: haven't played that one.
@Zeldin: no, it must be a game around 83-85/86 I think, it was one of the first gamez I had played on C64...
like I have said, it must be a game with simple grafix, like Loderunner...
can't remember if it was "Multicolor"-chars, but I think it was very simple...

sounds to me like either miner 2049'er, aigina's prophecy, or Pharoahs curse... or maybe pharoahs revenge... I dont think bagman was made for 64... |

@Fungus: it wasn't miner 2049'er, aigina's prophecy, or Pharoahs curse...never played that pharoahs revenge.
bagman...hehe Was bagman under ZX Spektrum or Schneider CPC?
@Zyron: not it wasn't that manic miner, though I liked that one also a lot... :) think it wasn't one of the "famous games" as I already had checked out the screenshots here and there...
@SECRET MAN: funny...have also the original of "Pitfall II - Lost Caverns" here, the one with brown label and white/yellow letters... also found "Super Hang on" and a few others *gg* |

@tlr: oh remember that nice one also :) but it wasn't the one I'm looking for... the player sprites/ladders "too" big and the game I'm looking for wasn't multicolor (I think) and it had small char-graphix like Loderunner... |

@yago: hehe, funny clone of Loderunner...didn't know that one, but it's not that game. ;)
@Kenho: oh, almost had forgotten Sodan's Crackers Revenge... :) but the game I'm looking for didn't scroll. It had lot's of screens where you could leave to left,top,right,bottom to get to the next screen...no scrolling... and it had an "overview"-screen where all "screens" are showed which you were already.... |

@Zyron: no not Shamus, it's not kind of Loderunner game ;)
@SECRET MAN: Castel Wolfenstein was a nice one like also that Castle of Dr Creep, but this has to good graphix, it was much simpler...

almost have forgotten that one, played it as well... hehe
but compared to this, the ladder had only 1 char instead of 2 and also the player was smaller... well, as far as I can remember, and it's not very much, very dark... :| |
