Advanced Hires
In Graffity's "Higher Love" a graphics-mode called "Advanced Hires" was announced and a fullscreen example picture was shown. Is there an editor for pixelling in this format? We failed to find any informations about this. |

Yes, a new hires-format, non-flickery, exists. I don't know whether or not Graffity did anything like it, but somehow I doubt it. Let me just put my stuff together and you'll get your hands on it after this summer, editor and all, in usual Crest-style. |

AHires is 320x200 with three colours. It's just a mono bitmap with 0 bits for the dark colour, 1 bits for the medium and 0 again for the light but with horizontally expanded sprites to put a third colour there.
The sprites are set low priority so the 1 bits trim them down where need be. |

Cat is out of the bag, people. X-Fli is my contribution to the horde of weird formats, with editor and all. |

Hmm..now I'm wondering how prohibitively slow a software-sprite game engine would be in AHires :) |
