c128 dcr
Does anyone know if there were any/a few/a lot of PAL c128 dcr's made. Been looking for one for some time now but can only find NTSC ones.
If none can be found I'll just have to mod my c128 d with a quieter vent and the extra video RAM... |

Quoting tokraSome very new 128DCRs seems to contain a newer Drive-ROM for the 1571CR. The usual ROM all around the net is 318047-01, [...]
I just uploaded a dumped 318047-02 to zimmers.net, so it should be available there soon (in /pub/cbm/firmware/drives/new/1571/ I guess).
If you don't wanna wait just PM me your mail address. |

I once won a 128D (of course PAL) at a Bunker Party. Took me some time to figure out it was equipped with wrong SID 8580 but needed 6581. What groepaz sez about position of slots is true, but I've got long arms. I don't do much with it apart from "GO64"->"Y" every now and then. It's a very nice rack to put a monitor on it :)
Quoting Thunderhas no handle to move it
True, an SX64 is far easier to throw away (unless the handle is broken which happens quite frequently) |

Quote: Was i the only person who extended the switches on his AR6 to a project box that sat next to the machine then...?
Nope, Same here!
Back then (early 90ies) I had a computer furniture with a sliding tray for the keyboard. Perfect for the c128d not so perfect for the c64 later on. |

You don't need it anyway, just hold C= when starting the machine/resetting :) |
