searching for an old X-Mas demo
Hi Folks,
I'm searching for an old X-Mas demo that was created around 1987-88 and haven't seen it for 25+ years. I spent a couple of hours for searching for it by using Google, picture search, name search, combined searches, etc., not found...
The demo tells a short story. A space rocket starts flying at the beginning (?) with small creatures, kind of 'gremlins' (Gizmoes?). After a while, they arrive to the Earth from the space and the rocket lands on Earth with a crash, but these small creatures survive it, of course. Those 'Gremlins' (Gizmoes?) were white coloured hi-res sprites, really cute ones and nicely animated as far as I can remember.
The storyline was somehow connected to Christmas as well.
Any idea?

Not this one, unfortunately. But thanks for trying to help. ;)
I have to double-check all my old floppy disks, maybe I still have it on one of the disks. It's a shame my 1541-II died, just spinning continuously... :-( |

I continued the search and spent a few hours to find this one-file (?) demo, without any success so far. (Maybe if I'll get my new PSU for my floppy drive, I will have the chance to check all my old floppies)
Nevertheless, I tried to pixel the little cute aliens with Spritemate, maybe someone can identify it (okay, I'm a true lamer in pixeling, I know, I know... :D :D)

The creature reminds me a lot about main character in game Starquake, but the white hires part of the description doesn't match... |

A small update on this topic.
Finally, I got the new PSU for my 1541-II and had time to dig in into my old floppy collection. Checked all my old floppies, however, most of them are games only it seems. But I didn't find this old demo. Hm... :) |
