Can anyone tell me of software other than star commander for transfering .d64 files using an x5141 cable, star commander seems to not like my laptop for some reason :( |

details about the laptop maybe? maybe the cable is the problem. x1541 works only on very old pentium I and below.

actually it does work on many newer PCs too - depends on luck. With my pentium3 mobo I used to use additional LPT on ISA for two reasons: 1) integrated LPT doesn't like X and 2) I have some more hardware using LPT |

The best solution these days would probably be to get an XM or XA cable. That way you can use Star Commander _and_ cbm4win to transfer your images. |

I found an earlyer verson of sc, verson 081, works just fine. I was using 082 first. Maybe it was a gfx driver glitch (all the shortcut keys worked, but nothing was displaying on the screen. |
