What demo was it? (with a 1541 drive in it)
Hi, I'm new to this board, so I hope I'm following the rules with my first post. ;-)
I have been looking for a demo I remember from the "good old days" but I don't know the name or wich group it was. I must have misplaced it somehow, because it is not in my own collection anymore. I have made a scripts to browse through the literally thousands of screenshots here, but didn't see it.
It was a relatively simple demo with a big picture of a 1541 drive and a long scroller (think I have been reading for about 40 minutes if I remember correctly). The "special" thing about the demo was that the drive-led of your real 1541 was blinking along with the music or the led on the drive in the demo (don't remember).
Does this ring any bell to anyone? Who knows which demo this is/was?
Thanks! |

YES! That was it! Thanks for the fast reply cba! :-D Been looking for this for a LONG time. It's not a really "spectacular" demo, but it brings back some good memories. Now let's get this demo transfered to my real 64 (and 1541) and re-live the good old times! :-D
Thanks again! This board is really fast! :-) |

That could be right. I was about 18 years old when I got my first Commodore 64 and I'll be turning 38 this year... how time flies. :-)
Back then I had to work for 4 entire weeks to get the money for a 64 with a datasette. Now I've got 7 Commodore 64 machines and 4 diskdrives and I think I can just buy a few beers if I sell one of the Commodores...
It's not a very good investment, but still a lot of fun anyways. ;-) |

as a matter of fact it IS a good investment :)
During winter prices climb for computer stuff and that annoying retro-wave at least in germany made buying c64 less fun but actually, selling c64 never will be fun at all.
Did that once - never again...

Yeah, what to think of all those nursery-homes in 2046,when the C64-kids are all retired.
They´d probably love to play with it again.
Chances are good that owning a working C64 then, can make for some really nice deal.. ;) |
