Renegade Two??
There is no entry here for a game called Renegade II. Several entries for I and III. Was there ever such a game? |

ahh. The original game Renegade came out in Europe then the US. Both versions are messed up. The gameplay for the Europe version has an odd system of using the joystick plus keys 1-3.
The US version was not fully NTSC fixed. The game was never fully complete from any game maker. |

Don't mess with the Renegade; the controls are pretty nice as long as you play with a joystick and not a joypad. I had a lot of fun with that game since there were no Double Dragon for the C-64 at that time. Target Renegade was rather nice too, but I never really got anywhere in that one. Zach Townsends third edition, Renegade III, was just strange. |

twoflower, out of all of them target renegade was a fav.
I was reading about it somewhere, TR was like their hybrid version of the original.
other 8 bit versions of the original renegade was far better IMHO (that I never did understand). I remember buying the first one and wasn't impressed.
On one had you had amazing conversions, then you had plenty more that lacked a lot. Buggy boy being a prime example that wasn't strict to the arcade version , BUT an amazing game =) |

Yep, the Amstrad version of Renegade I was good stuff, I also liked the C64 Target Renegade a lot, it was just too easy to complete. |

the c64 renegade was terrible and should never have been released as it was, it was a big disappointment. then the amstrad version was released and put even more salt in the wounds. it was just a shame that anyone could release this crap an a computer that was superior to the amstrad that lacked hw sprite and all.
but at least target renegade come out as an small comfort. it was good, it was done right but yet not renegade as we know it. it was better than no renegade at all, thats for sure and i enjoyed that game.
renegade 3 was just strange, i agree with that and not my cup of tea..... |
