How to finish game Exile?
Hi, do you remember game Exile - an adventure from far away planet? I know the Exile solution from c64.tin.at, but still I can't finish this game. Cause - a bug in C64 version (?). I have two cracks by NEI and by TRC, but both include the same problem - disappear things. The disappearance is random, but mostly I can't take cannon, coronium rocks, red or green key etc.
Do anybody have a troublefree version?

That is really a mean protection. Those people who invented it shall burn in hell for wasting so much of our time... ;-) |

cracking exile would make more sense than releasing previews and 'cracks' of free homebrew games. |

Quote: There is no 100% cracked working versions, despite what everyone says. The only way to complete it is with the original.
The random disappearance of items is a copy protection, unsure how it works..might search for a piece of code that the cracked versions have removed? (Unsure, but if anyone wants to have a look?!?)
Side note: The biggest joke was when Wanderer said he could crack and train it 100%, he didnt even remove the password protection!
Yeah there was something about this game and its copy protection.
I cant even remember if I cracked the game, but I will try to look around and see if I can find some old notes. Maybe theres something about Exile |

Exile is an _amazing_ game, on any system. Toward the end of the game however, there are some bugs on the original versions, therefore it would be nice to see a fully 100% cracked, trained and bug-fixed version somewhere.
If anyone needs help with it (cracking / testing etc) just PM me :-) |

I have a view - the random disappearance isn't copy protection but a trainer protection..? The game is onefile and how can it after load check a copy protection (from tape)? (if you have a D64 image of original, it looks ok). I suppose that crackers from NEI or TRC lever out all (but solely) disk protections. Maybe a routine checks after hit if your energy sinks? Maybe it is rubbish... |

You can do tape loader protections and freezer detectors, tho of course they can be broken, subtle things are often missed! |

its so called "program" or "ingame" protection, which is the most effective (and hardest to find/crack) protection sheme of them all. |

It's a really 1337 protection! Imagine if it were used today in a FPS; all enemies on the last map were approaching you with clown masks and were impossible to kill. Sneaky huh? :D |

Some fps games today do obvious things like that, making enemies become flat or invincible. |
