Aligning drives.
Ok , I got myself the free spirit alignment disk.
Told me what's up with the drives, it's to do with the speed of the drive, it's working at 320 instead of 310 and the bump thing isn't working properly.
So who is the king (or queen) of aligning drives on here?
If someone has fixed a lot of drives, that could help me out with them (I've got 3 in 1541 hospital =/ ) that would be cool.
I did get the disk, but no instructions, only the notes included in the program itself. Maybe I'm missing something (besides brain cells)
thanks for reading.

I haven't heard about that alignment disk, what is it?
Note about the speed: many utilities coded for NTSC will give you a much too high speed reading on PAL systems.
Make sure this is not the case before you start adjusting.

good point tlr. I'm too used to being an emulamer and just switching machine types between pal/ntsc.
well it's
http://www.sharewareplus.co.uk/pp/Premium_Products/Free_Spirit_..
but didn't buy it from there, as it looks like a rip off.
I got it from the states, but am unsure if there was a pal version of it. I guess if I could get that off someone (the code side) and just use the alignment disk that would do the same trick.
due to how it is, it's not something that's copyable due to the type of disk. It does make me question whether there are 2 versions of the thing itself.
