Koala Painter files from images
Hi!
In addition to my request - Koala Painter pictures on PC - I am now searching for a solution to copy Koala Painter pictures out of a bunch of D64's at once.
Anyone have an idea?
Thx!

Regarding your previous request, you can view Koala pics on your PC using XnView (www.xnview.com). Like Ian's suggestion, you'll still need to extract the PRG and rename the extension (this time to KOA).
Regarding this request, you can export multiple files from a D64 easily using DirMaster (DirMaster V2.1).
To quickly rename multiple files, I use Lupas Rename (http://rename.lupasfreeware.org/). |

What about using a SINGLE filemanager instead? =)
Star Commander, 64copy, Far manager, totalcommander...
SC and 64copy are meant to manage c64 files, for the other 2 there are plugins and easily configurable. |

No problem using programs like StarCommander, but my idea was to put for example 100 D64's into a folder and then start a batch which copies out of those Images all Koala Painter pics to the PC. And then I can easily have a look at them using View64. |

DirMaster has batch processing, allowing you to export all the PRGs from multiple D64s in a folder.
Disk --> Batch Processing...
If I were doing this, I'd dump all the PRGs, rename all their extensions from PRG to KOA/KLA, and try to view them with XnView (View64 in your case). Anything that doesn't display isn't a Koala pic and can be deleted.
This would be really tedious with View64, though, since it's a command line app. You really should give XnView a try, it's a modern graphical image browser. |

a koala pic once extracted as .prg is exactly 10003 bytes, you can delete all but those. |
