This issue became an amazing ride looking back. Dont spectate but participate! Issue 71 is now in the making! Message me if you want to support it! Greetings to all VN lovers! | User Comment Submitted by Jazzcat on 8 November 2019 User Comment Submitted by Dr.Science on 8 November 2019
Still haven't read it all - but up to now really good stuff! Music is ACE. | User Comment Submitted by Jazzcat on 7 November 2019
Thank you everyone for your comments! Was an amazing experience to get this one across the line with the looming deadline of Syntax 2019. All the guys worked pretty hard to make it (thank you so much!).
Next issue will hopefully surface around June next year. Until then! | User Comment Submitted by FranckS on 7 November 2019
Awesome release, congratz. | User Comment Submitted by cTrix on 6 November 2019
Awesome! Was a joy to watch this on the night and also contribute. Some super high quality content in this one too. Keep it up. | User Comment Submitted by Jazzcat on 5 November 2019
Have reuploaded the zip files to correct some issues in The IDE64 chapter (text missing).
Previous download count was 456 (334 for 1541 version and 122 for 1581 version). | User Comment Submitted by iAN CooG on 5 November 2019
Usual huge bunch of excellent and interesting articles which will be taking a week at least to read everything.
I'd like to thank every musicians involved for always providing their best productions and contributing on indirectly making VN one of the best periodical music disks around. Not a single flaw, made my day. | User Comment Submitted by Facet on 5 November 2019
I really enjoyed the articles. I loved working together with Mirage on the three screener title picture. Just ticking off my bucket-list. 馃榿 Keep up the great work and looking forward for #71!! | User Comment Submitted by Stinsen on 5 November 2019 User Comment Submitted by AMB on 5 November 2019
Thank you VN TEAM, again & again! | User Comment Submitted by FABS on 5 November 2019
Well that's an amazing one! Awesome magazine! Thank you guys !! ;-) *10* stars! Fantastic! :D ehhe | User Comment Submitted by finchy on 4 November 2019
Man! I just wanted to take a quick look before I go to bed. Downloaded it, transfered it to disks, got excited by the intro alone (WOW!), dug into it, had to go back here and drop a straight 10 - and I'm still not asleep! What a great job you did there (again), chapeau! | User Comment Submitted by vincenzo on 4 November 2019
Worth to download for the music roster itself - and I'm not saying this because I have a track there :)
Then there's the vast amount of content, days of read is guaranteed.
Thank you for all who was working hard to make it happen and thank you for inviting me to make a music for this issue. | User Comment Submitted by hedning on 4 November 2019
Carrion: Depends on what kind of equipment you have. If you have a laptop or other PC with a real (not USB) floppy drive, you could use that from DOS, using 1581-Copy V0.54. You could also use RR-net and Warpcopy06 D81 [bugfixed] on yoru modern PC. | User Comment Submitted by Burglar on 4 November 2019
another awesome big ass issue!
first off, I really like the intro, all the fades really work and the pace makes it stand out. the enjoy fadeout is best, but there's also your only fuck up, should've faded the music! ;)
mirage gives a masterclass and remains the pixel king.
and then there's all this content, very well balanced. liked the "in love with pixels" article a lot and it helps heaps that the vn engine is so good it also allows all kinds of gfx in every article
and then there's the soundtrack, so many gems I cant name em all, but I guess Drax wins and the middle part from unz unz Stinsen was damn nice. or maybe Laxity wins or Vincenzo or JT or noksje, or maybe I should name em all lol | User Comment Submitted by Carrion on 4 November 2019
great, great read.
Thanks again for the d81 version.
I think Im coming back with this question again and again but here it is: any good solutions for writing d81?
I use CBM128 tool (in c128 mode) to save from SD2IEC to 1581 but it takes over 1 hr... how to speed it up? TIA | User Comment Submitted by Ksubi on 4 November 2019
Any chance of uploading the .sid files? | User Comment Submitted by hedning on 4 November 2019
Very nice read. Of course there are ups and downs. The List and the party reports were especially good, as was the original supplier's article and some interviews with good q&a. Well written. The demo reviews could have more depth and analysis though, as they merely describe the visual effects we all can see ourselves. | User Comment Submitted by Dr.j on 3 November 2019
thanks so much for the huge efforts as always! again you doing such excellent job with your magazine! thanks a lot!!! | User Comment Submitted by Mibri on 3 November 2019
Thank you VN staff for making this great diskmag happen. Roll on #71! | User Comment Submitted by Ksubi on 3 November 2019
Huge effort as always. Absolutely love the music, especially the opening tune <3 | User Comment Submitted by Carrion on 3 November 2019
@Jazzcat.
Thanks for explanation
I think Mirage's style is so well recognizable. And he will stay my all time c64 pixel master....
Oh and the logo... well - just a Mirage himself!
I had a brief look at the content so far. Gonna read it tomorrow the proper way - from real 1581 drive as I always do with VN and real machine. 馃憤
But saw accidentally my pic in the Facets article - strange experience... definitely gonna read it tomorrow! ;)
oh and btw: good to hear from Marcus Schneider again. great tune! | User Comment Submitted by Jazzcat on 3 November 2019
el-topo: ahhh, will add more umlauts! | User Comment Submitted by Cobra/Samar on 3 November 2019
Thank you.
Very good job. | User Comment Submitted by El Topo on 3 November 2019
Great stuff! Only problem is that now foreigners will think there is a town called Sdrtlje in Sweden ;) | User Comment Submitted by Jazzcat on 3 November 2019
Thanks Carrion. Mirage did the left part of the intro image. Facet did the right part of the intro image. Also, Mirage did the main menu logo. | User Comment Submitted by Carrion on 3 November 2019
the credits says there some gfx from Mirage.
Is it the girl face in in the intro? or maybe something else?
The music from Laxity and Drax rock as always! just Wow! | User Comment Submitted by Joe on 3 November 2019 User Comment Submitted by Digger on 3 November 2019 User Comment Submitted by Jammer on 3 November 2019
