Text from Humppa After Midnight

Description:Lemming scroller for the main menu
Text:humppalaki! humppalaki! breaking the law! breaking the law! humppa is the law. this is lemming typing some words for your reading pleasure in order to keep your eyes occupied on the screen while listening to the humppa law, and the other humppa megahits rock has arranged in his disturbed but brilliant mind. i'd like to point out that breaking the law by judas priest is was one of the favorites of my dear friend ddt/accession&purebyte who passed away almost two years ago, and it was pretty much the soundtrack of his life. man, how we jammed to it, on countless occasions. on the behalf of everyone else without asking them i'd like to dedicate this to ddt. len, there's not a day when i don't miss you. i hope there will be another get-together next year on the date of your demise so all your friends can get together and have a blast. and fuck covid, if we get there, we'll party no matter what! luckily ddt's son stoneman/primitive is keeping well up to his fathers reputation. allu, much love and respect to you! well, the year 2020 was mostly extremely depressing, among all the other things that are depressing in life, starting with the death of the world's greatest drummer neil peart of rush. which probably means rush is dead now too. farewell to kings. and reward/complex died. that fucking sucked. and i'm sure i don't have to mention covid-19 again but there it was again anyway. we're living in our isolated spheres and just trying to get by. many of you have friends and relatives who are dead now. christmas is coming. a very depressing christmas. i mean, usually christmas sucks all in all, but now the world situation just sucks as hell. when did christmas start to suck tho? is this an age thing? i don't think so. i mean back in the day we swappers and other scene freaks used to send each other christmas cards. jerry/triad (rip) among others always sent a christmas card, usually an athmospheric photograph. still got all of them left. christmas used to feel special. but for years and years now i think it's just overcommercialized bullshit, and many seem to agree. we have our black fridays and cyber mondays and whatnot and everything is just spend spend spend. it makes me sick. i might be able to enjoy a sort of christmas vacation more if my employer didn't drive me crazy with overtime work because the lords of the stock market need their profits before the laborer can rest, if ever. if i have a chance i'll have a quiet moment watching 'c64 rolling demo' by commodore, that one's always made me moderately cheerful. now that i think about it, maybe there's still some christmas spirit left somewhere. there it is. trying not to sound too depressing, there was a lot of good stuff in the year 2020. lot's of exciting releases on the c64 front! upfront, perhaps the best group ever, might be coming back! vandalism news reu is 'leet!! the new german modular 64 is sick - really excited about that! proton is kicking ass in the coding and music front. rock and dr. j got back together to do this! and i got off my ass to do some hardware again and trying to keep up with the scene after a couple years of depressing absence. everyone in their right mind hates christmas songs, right? well, you should. but let me list a few exceptions to the rule if you really want to have a nice sounding christmas, altho these work without christmas too, here goes: ramones - merry christmas, kate bush - december will be magic again, slade - merry christmas everybody, john lennon & yoko ono - war is over, jethro tull - solstice bells. so just loop those and try to get by. i love king diamond and merciful fate but king's track no presents for christmas is just weird in a not good way, not sure why he did that. usually weird is good, but that one is not. so christmas can mess people up. right now i'm listening to the new burial track titled chemz tho, which was released today, and it's very confusing altho extremely groovy. it sounds like a demented person's flashback of the 90s raves. after this very interesting piece of music it's back to humppa for me. some personal messages and greetz from myself ... but first we will have an important announcement! some lamers have said that jope/extend is not cool. they could not be more wrong! jope is one of the coolest and most inspirational dudes in the finnish scene, and he is not just one of the top hardware guys, he is very empathetic and humorous. jope, i love you, and so does probably everyone else who knows anything about anything! which is, i'd say, most of the people in the scene. so here it is officially: jope is very cool. ok that's about that. more personals coming: geir tjejlta/maniacs of noice - thanks for your very insightful comment on youtube. yes, i know how to type 'tjelta', but you know how sometimes one incorrectly types something and it goes left unnoticed, it's called a typo. jazzcat/onslaught - thanks for getting me involved with the game soundtrack projects! fungus/n0stalgia - i'm so glad we got all the past bitterness buried and we're mates again, you've been an inspiration and a source of countless great conversations for years and you were there for me when i was in the shits between 2011-2012... mattered really more than i can say here. xmikex - great work with the c128 infocom titles, keep the c128 alive with all your weird and wonderful insights and your knowledge! yoko tv inc/n0stalgia - great stuff with the 1541 board replicas! drunella - i have no idea who you are but i don't even have the proper words to express how great your work with ultima v remastered was! just wow! bj0rn r0st0en/panoramic designs - you are simply remarkable. thanks for keeping panoramic designs alive, one of the best groups ever!! let's stay in touch ok? knut m. clausen/fossil - your requests while i was 'absent' meant a world to me. thanks for all the great stuff and keep on keeping on!! and all the rest in n0s and offence ... ok now i have kept your eyes occuppied with my self-centered ramblings for a reasonable amount of time and you have had the chance to experience the power of humppa while you have been reading this. i hope somebody else also writes something to this scrolltext, or else it will just be just my manifesto of nonsense. oh, even tho christmas might suck, let's have a happy new year and maybe make 2021 a bit happier than 2020... ok??? we might all die but we can't get out of this life alive anyway. i hope this scrolltext has a font which has hyphens and umlauts and stuff. lemming signing off .... .. .
