Here is the privacy policies for CSDb for users with a personal account at CSDb.
To have a user account at CSDb you must agree with the policies described here below.
If you do not agree you can not have a user account at CSDb.
1. Information we collect.
When you register for an Account at CSDb we need a login name chosen by yourself, and a valid E-mail address to confirm you.
We store simple login information as of when and from where (IP-address) you are visiting CSDb.
Whatever you enter into CSDb, that be data for the common collection that CSDb is, in the forum, as comments or otherwise, will be stored and visible for all users of the site, and when doing so you forfeit the right of this information, and can only partially control it. We also take the right to censor any such entered information at any time.
When using the 'Private message' system, what you write here will only be available to you and the recipient of the message only. You can at any point delete any messages here, but the recipient will still have an available copy which only he/she control. If both of you chose to delete the message, it will be completely removed from our servers.
2. How we use your information.
We use your E-mail address to validate you, and to inform you via different services in CSDb, if you chose to use these.
Your login information is mostly used for simple statistics, but also to inform you about what new has happened in CSDb since your last visit when you log in. In certain cases your login information can also be used in the pursue of abuse of CSDb.
When you are visiting CSDb, this is by default visible to other users of the site, but only by your self chosen login name. This can be disabled from the Userpage -> Update your setting.
3. How we share your information.
CSDb are running ads from 'Google Adsense', so some information will be shared with this party. Read more here.
However, when you are logged in to CSDb with your user account, all such ads will be removed, and in that case CSDb will not send any information to any third party, except your login name, which will be visible next to any information you enter into CSDb.
Any information you enter into CSDb, will be available for any who use CSDb, and can therefore be shared with any party.
Messages you write in the 'Private message' system will be available to you, and the recipient of that message only.
4. Storage and Processing.
Your information is stored and processed in Denmark, Europe at a professional hosting site.
We will not transfer information, including personal information, to a country and jurisdiction that does not have the same data protection laws.
5. How we protect your information.
We protect your privacy and data as best as possible, but cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to CSDb or guarantee that your information on CSDb may not be accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed by breach of any of our industry standard physical, technical or managerial safeguards. We use secure socket layer technology (SSL) on CSDb to ensure your information as it is being transferred from you to our server, but no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
