Turbo Assembler

Hi, once again I find myself confused by all the different Turbo Assembler versions. I had one, but dont know if that was the latest. There are tons of them here on csdb, and I dont know which one to download. Which one do you recommend? I dont want a crossassembler. I want a plain assembler I can use on the real C64 or program in an emulator (Frodo C64) on my android-phone. So that I can program instructions directly into it, and run. Also if you please can tell me where to find the manual (like in a text file or that I can print out) for that version that would be great. Thanks

Moloch: That I am out after Turbo Assembler, not Turbo Macro Pro. I know you gave me the link, I downloaded it to a different machine and did not find it.

basically you can use any of them. there are very small differences.

here are a bunch of assemblers:

http://csdb.dk/release/download.php?id=90341

I've used from these the VDC asm (using extra ram in c128 for source saving) for 10+ years. didnt run into any bugs ever.

you should use the illasm, from this disk, supporting illegal opcodes and even saving source to action replay ram.

read the note on the disk for more info.

Choose any from http://turbo.style64.org/version-archive

There are no real official 1.x up to 7.x or such versions as they never were official after all - everybody took his favourite, modded it and added a nice made-up version number.

AFAIK Omikron only sold the normal "Turbo Assembler" and the macro version along with the tape port dongle and never "updated" them.
