Event id #2740 : PETSCII disk cover competition
I like the idea
BUT(T)!

File formats: Screenshot PNG or .c file from proposed tool
Though screenshot .PNG won't be a problem, CSDb Mods will go crazy if you up anything but executable .prg or .d64 here ;) |

LOL @smasher, bring you 9 needle sewing machine back to the attic :P
Actually the entry helped me noticing entries are supposed to(? or just _may_?) have 56 lines "including flaps" (for whatever that means, maybe the orgas should provide some example .png or whatever)... so more than 2 screens. HMH... got some nice PETSCII for front but no ideas for back yet.
EDIT: PLUS(!) We are supposed to PETSCII backside of disk sleeve upside down as I've just read in the comments to Alcools LMAO *turns his monitor upside down and twists mouse controls*
Anyway, no one ruled out to hand in 25 lines filled with PETSCII plus 31 lines filled with #$20 ;) |

I've seen there's example .c files in event entry.
Problem: for whatever reason I can't get newer builds of marq's tool running here on Win 7, neither 32 nor 64 bit works, after chosing platform dialogue nothing happens (though I installed Java Runtime), my old tool version (the one that I get running) doesn't eat that 13+x kB .c file, however.
So can anyone just describe how the ratio including flaps is meant? How many tiles for front and back, how many for flaps? |

The whole thing is 40x56 chars with square pixels, this might help: http://www.kameli.net/~marq/petscii-cover-grid.png |
