Zakk of Liquid , a code thief

Zakk has never made a Demo. He was steling codes from other coders.

When you look at his demos, then think, everything you see, beside the GFX, Is taken from other demos.

Interesting... :-)
Isn't it about time to put down the old gripes? This is 2005, in case you didn't notice. People (well, most of us) have grown up now... ;-)

I think we have all looked at code and taken snippets.

I don't think that the ESCOS, FLI, FLD and Tech-Tech routines that seemed to come out at the same time were a result of programmers across the world simultaneously waking up one morning and suddenly knowing how to do it. To understand some routines, I think it was, at times, necessary to inspect other people's code.

Granted that doesn't mean taking the entire portion of code to pass it off as your own. Consider my Relentless demo (last part) and this:
http://www.vulturesnest.net/Graphics/DamageInc/DamageInc4.png

It was a code rip and a graphics rip straight from my demo.

But ahh yea... those feuds from the late 80's and early 90's should be over by now, one would think ?? :)

"Worst bad trip I've had on shrooms (my only real bad trip really) all of my muscles kept cramping, and due to this I started hallucinating that they were turning blue and swelling up. I gained control eventually, and had the speediest shroom trip I've ever had"

... and in conclusion

"the most bizarre thing that can happen tho, is just doin wotever yer doin waitin fer the trip, and then... one by one... yer friends start trippen... and you look at them, seeing them tripping, and knowing that soon you'll be
there too... and you can't go back... past the point of no return... i love it, like reaching the peak of a rollercoaster, hearing the people at the front scream as they go over, and then being pulled over the edge
yerself... fun! "

Drug abusing, pot smoking, hallucinating, Slarti...

It's a little known fact that the text displayer in Game Over(view) was in fact ripped from the vandalism news outfit, and the logo displayer was ripped from some booze design demo (I forget which now).

Code ripping is fun an profitable!

Absolutely. I wrote a game for the C64, released it openly and unprotected. Over a decade later I found out that someone submitted it to a European magazine and that they made money from it. :)
