Wanted: Emulator that can display FLI and...
I need a C=64 emulator that can display FLI graphics *AND* handle .D64 and/or .T64 files.
It must be able to run in either native Windows XP or the DOS prompt available from that OS.
Does any such critter exist?
If so, link please? ;) |

Quote: Then I'll do a systemwide search for it, and delete it if it comes up...I'll edit this post with my findings.
Well, this BBS would not let me edit, so I'll have to add a new post.
I did a systemwide search for "v.ini" and came up empty. :(
It must start with a letter other than "v". |

Well, using XP from the command line seems like a wierdo elite haxxor skill to me. Yet on the other side, even Leon managed to download and start WinVice, so I sense some kind of conflicting areas here. |

Quote: That didn't do the trick... :(
It just opens a DOS window momentarily, then closes it.
I tried rebooting the computer (a recommended "fix" for a lot of troubles), but that didn't do the job either. :(
use cmd.exe
go to the dir where you installed (win)vice to, and fire up x64 from the commandline. This should prevent the window from closing. Makes it SOOOOOOOOO much easier to troubleshoot.
Besides, have you actually checked say, an included README file, the online manual etc for troubleshooting hints?
Seems to me you're just blindly clicking like a kip-zonder-kop...
(Yes, I consider it basic knowledge for people like us, that when a program in the Windows OS starts up a console, but dies immediately, and thus killing the console window... to use the bloody cmd.exe/command.com manually so at least you will see whatever kind of debug messages there are. AND you will have some control over commandline options). |

I did that, and the program simply returns me to the DOS prompt at once, with no error messages of any type displayed. :(
Here's a screen dump (yes, it's really called that) I just took. |
