Last X, first 5 tunes were played anonymous, then someone started to say who done it.
Now please make up your mind: anonymous, or completely open so people have name on screen.
Dont mess it up again plz.
:D
i'm definitely for anonymous entries. unquestionable and fair standard from polish parties ;) |

May I propose a voting system?
Simplify things. My idea:
buy 1000 table tennis balls (or just something 'unique').
Hand one per category to each who paid entrance fee.
Voting = buckets or something.
Either one bucket/bag per entry or everyone writes a number on his ball (nice sentence) and throws it in the category-bucket.
Only one vote per category per scener.
I like the ball idea but thinking again, some piece of paper + pens should suffice.
This will make it SO simple, I'd hope more people would vote then.
Worst case: some guys pick steal balls from others (that didnt have the balls to look after their balls) and hence double-vote. Well, they made quite some effort for that then and the entry might deserve an illegal double-vote for that :)
Anyone with me here?
To sum up, I (personal opinion) favor:
- no electronic voting
- no big lists with lots of numbers
- NOT one vote per entry, but rather one vote (or two) per category (in words: "I like THAT pic the most" not "I liked pix number 27 the 13th most")
- simple, 'mechanical' counting of votes
Cheers,

Enthusi, what if everybody agrees that one or two pics are the best in the gfx category.
How can we ever be sure what order to put the remaining pics in?

Yes! Let's all count thousands of pingpong balls in the middle of the night when you're drunk as hell \o/
Should make some funny pictures ;)
@Jan, the actual show/listen rules for the compo's are still subject to change. The announcing last year was, uhm, crap. |

@Mace: Then again.. Should it be taken for granted that a list where every entry is assigned a position is needed? I have the feeling that party votes are generally somewhat random when it comes to lower ranked entries anyway. I mean.. the ping pong ball idea may be a little limited, but there may certainly be nicer ways of doing the voting than some complicated procedure. It is always kinda crappy when it takes a lot of time to count votes, whatever system is used, in the middle of the night after the compo when everyone is tired. |

Everyone gets 10 pennies to distribute freely among all entries (cups). Weight the cups in the end.
Just something like that :)
Back to good mechanics :)
I didnt mean 'balls' when I wrote 'balls'.

Frantic, you're absolutely right, and I hate long votinglists too.
But the idea Enthusi had, won't work either for the reason I mentioned. And that's all I wanted to point out.
The idea with the pennies sounds good, though!
Although I suspect there will be people who'll bet all their pennies on one horse ;-)
Oh, and make sure people won't be able to grab pennies from one bucket to put them in another...
Talking of which:
