Horizon by Scortia
I like this music much.
Just one of his many excellent tunes. A blueprint on how to make a great opening track, as well as one of the essential datafunk references. |

His "DXYCP Scroll" (1990) is the most stimulating funky SID song I've heard for a long time. |

Blueshit is one that you've heard everywhere. I still wonder if the title says it's a Blues Hit or Blue Shit. |

My Scortia thread has more replies than Fredrik's Whitaker thread. Obviously I picked a favourite that inspires people to write. And eat pizza! |

If this action was done by somebody else with less credentials, he would have been bullied to death by now.
I think it was enough that you wrote in the other thread how you are going to "simulate" his behaviour of opening a new thread for a SID file, rather than actually doing it.
That is not to say I do not enjoy Scortia's excellent music. He was (is) a composer in his own league, that nobody else managed to get even close to.

An anonymous scener called me on Sunday morning to let me know how this thread had caused him to listen to Scortia, something said scener enjoyed immensely.
The construction of named thread therefore seems valid to me, as it has both caused pleasure as well as pointed out the retarded behaviour of making new threads for every little thing we like.
Therefore, if anyone else also fancies Equinox, Nebulas or The Loop as much as I do, please don't make a brand new thread about it. It's ok to post here.

As far as I'm concerned, you can play "Jump Up" at my funeral, I'll probably get back out of the coffin and dance! :)
And there's something about "Thai Myth" that just tickles me the right way... |

Reading Scortia's trivia:
Scortia
"Stopped making C64 music after the Brutal & Hurricane Summer Party 1992, because he had forgotten the power supply to his C64."
so maybe he would start composing again if we just send him a power supply. |

I don't think a new PSU will help him. He doesn't have a 64 anymore. He wrote the music for our demo in Goattracker and I honestly think that's probably the closest we'll ever get him to the real hardware again :D

Kudos to the necromancer who resurrected this inspired thread from the dead! Scortia deserves all the praise he can get. :) |

It's a funny story though. It took several months and a lot of gentle convincing to get him to finish the music for TPC. let's see how hard I have to work my sweet-talking to get a repeat :D |

@Trap: Are you sure it wasn't Cheesecutter?
From TPC Trivia:
"I chose Cheesecutter as it looked more inviting than looking at a C64 UI." |
