EXOS Kernal compatibility with demos
Since some time I have argument with sceners who always used action replay and they tell that kernal replacements are not necessary because there is AR and its clones. That would be fair if they actually had opportunity yo use these kernals but they didn't even see them :)
When I turn on my machine I use EXOS with 1541/UK1541 and JiffyDos with SD2IEC. While Final3 uses turbo taken from EXOS and it is known to interfere with many demos but so far I haven't had troubles with pure EXOS. I must admit I didn't run many though.
Can you name particular demos that have troubles with EXOS?

for sure I know this demo ONLY works with EXOS rom, due to badly coded loader =)

i remember plenty problems with various kernals from back in the days.... EXOS was mostly famous for fucked up loading with its increased stepper speed =)
(FC3 turbo is from exos? says who?) |
