Podcast about the c64 NTSC demo scene

Hey all!

First, I'm glad I found this place about a week ago. I think it's a real neat opportunity to chat up some acquaintances from long long ago. I'm completely impressed with the amount of work that's gone into this site so far.

Anyway, there is a podcast called "Retrobits" that I've been listening to for a while all about old computers (like the 64) and the host has been wanting to do a show on the 64 demo scene. I found out that he lives in the same city I do (Portland OR) and so I arranged to have him interview me about the North American scene back in the early nineties.

Anyway, the show is going to be posted next monday at http://www.retrobits.libsyn.com/ (you can also subscribe to it from the iTunes store). Hopefully my memory isn't totally faulty and I did things justice. You all should also listen to his past shows as most of them have been pretty interesting.

Anyway, it's nice to be back in contact with you all.

Cheers,

_DF

Yoh DF,

welcome back.
Check out the news on the homepage.
You´ll find another podcast containing only SIDs,no talk..

Also nice is: http://www.slayradio.org/home.php
But that´s more about Remixed C64 tunes.
There´s a podcast there aswell. ;)

Wow... there's a blast from the past.

I remember when you used to call me, possibly with Vector of XDS. I remember asking about the handle in particular :)

Heh, yah I remember that as well. I think that maybe a guy named Barbarian (don't remember what group he was a part of) was a mutual contact.

Incidentally I mentioned you in the interview--specifically that you were a notable example of somebody that was in about 100 different demo groups.

I'm subscribed to the c64 takeaway as well TCH.. it's some good stuff for sure.

I think that I carried a plague. As soon as I joined a group, it disbanded, it was never by choice only necessity :)
