The Scene
Avatar has expanded into demos and in the process will lead to game development.
The strength of programming on the Commodore 64 has evolved beyond what anyone would have imagined. If you can code on a 6502, you can code on any machine. If you can pixel on a 64, you can draw on any computer. If you can operate a SID composer, you can create music in any form. |

Quote: 1) "The Scene" can get fucked. It's possibly the single most stupid thing in history.
2) Avatar managed as many releases as I did in the last 12 months, I'm not even a fucking scener. Ergo your title of "The Scene" is quite presumptuous.
3) How can you even expand from nothing? Zero multiplied by anything is still zero...
Alih for president! :D |

sad panda: you enjoy The Scene. It is a wonderful experience that an exclusive segment of the world's population is able to enjoy. |

I'm not coming down on anybody.. Why is everybody coming down on The Shadow? If he wants to expand into some other area, then he should be allowed to do so without people putting him down, or giving him BS about his choice of words.
There is no "scene". Like in the matrix, there is no spoon. Quite possibly a community of people who enjoy the c64, but I also fail to see this scene, and I've been part of it for 20 years.
Expanding into demos and games is cool, but seems a bit moot if you've nothing to show. I mean, what do you do in this scene of yours? I've heard you ntsc fix or something like that, but have yet to see any of it. Maybe it's me, which is quite possible, but I do think you should at least have something to show others, to try and gain an audience in order to get support for the quest you seem to be on.
I do welcome your attempt into this area, and I really hope to see some stuff by you and your crew, I really do. I enjoy watching demos and playing games made by people I've come to know over the years. It's fun for everyone involved. So good luck and when can we expect to see something? |
