TMP x2 under Vice
On real hardware I've been using TMP X2/R2 versions to code on one c64 and run code on the the slave. Did anyone tried with a success such config under Vice? I know I can switch to TMPx and cross compile under Windows but I'd like to have an old setup emulated as well for sentimental reasons ;) |

it works in the emu just like it works on the real thing, what else did you expect? :) |

Great. So how can I connect two emulators together? |

What kind of connection was used on the real HW back then? Not sure whether there is support for anything besides "proper" serial or ethernet connections. One TMP version I knew back in the days used some selfmade 3 wire cable without any logic on the expansion port - wonder how to emulate that cable indeed. |

sorry, i was just kidding =) as countzero said, it can be done via ethernet or rs232 (but even then you need a real physical connection between two physical ports, even on the same machine) - userport has never been emulated on this level so the common 4bit (and 2bit) cables can not be emulated. |

This is what I've been suspecting. Any volunteers to add simple few cables direct connection emulation to Vice? It would be something really cool to have 2 open Vice windows and coding in one and running code in the second window. |
