Vice virtual device trap detection

Hy there,

is there a way to detect if vice's device trap is switched on, so that i can save a art studio picture like "xxx.art" when saving to windows filesystem and "xxxxxxxxxx pic" when saving to c64 file system? (auto detection which filename convention should be used)

73,vice fs driver v2.0,00,00

ready.

this is what you get with vfs active AND tde off. With tde on, no matter if you use vdt on/off, you get the regular 1541 rom message

73,cbm dos v2.6 1541,00,00

You will be saving as P00 anyway, if the default "Write p00 files" is checked in settings/peripherals settings/drive 8 tab.

of course you have to reset the drive to obtain the "Power on message" with "UJ"
