solution - Action Replay can work with Jiffy Dos in drive

This point:

LDY #$02
JSR $F82B

should be replace to

LDY #$00
JSR $F7E8

so in the bin file (CRT also) You must find bytes string:

A0 02 20 2B F8

and replace to

A0 00 20 E8 F7

and finally reprogramming EPROM (EEPROM, FLASH - I don't know what You have :) - maybe bin or CRT file to 1541U, EF... etcetera )

after this AR loader will be work with DOS or Jiffy DOS

Don't confuse this with SD2IEC - solution is for drive with JD

kind regards

I don't know every one JD an AR versions but a lot of AR bin have this JSR $F82B...

JD 6.0 1571

F82B LDA ($30),Y

it's OK

in JD 5.0 for 1541 disassembly:

F82B BMI $F856
F82D SLO $5A85

...

AR6.06 is clear - dont use $f82b

AR6.06 is clear

now what the hell is that now?

are you basically saying that old jiffydos combined with old AR gives problems, however using recent jiffydos with recent AR does not? *shrug*

@Groepaz

1. Why You think "every one must used AR 6.06?" I use for example AR4.0 (made by polish factory Atrax V7.3)
2. Is the version 6 JD for 1541? I don't saw and I don't know so a lot of AR will be don't work with 1541 + JD5 i guess

However I'd check why my loader don't work with JD and notice this.

So - if You wanna my words:

1541 is more often used than 1570/71
every one not use "clear" AR
If JD 5 for 1541 is the final (I guess yes) version so look to point 2

the point is: you need to burn an eprom to fix this. and if you go that route, you can (and should) update to the latest version(s).

This is actually very useful info, when trying to get the Atrax AR7.3 image working on an Ultimate with the JiffyDOS bins. Thanks Wegi!
