Could anyone crack this stuff?

Hello!

I collect all of the german disk magazines "Game On" and "Magic Disk" over the years but unfortunately some issues was protected with "Timex System". Most of the games on this disks has been already cracked, e.g. Suprally, Baby Jack, Xis etc. but no one seems to take care about the magazine on the first disk side which only works with the protection (crashes at the part with the long "Beep" sound and scanlines on the screen) after the Game-On intro. I've uploaded this disks which has obviously been dumped without the protection. I still have some of this disks as original but I can't dump them 1:1 but maybe there is another way? - I already try the "Timex fake header" which didn't work with the disks. Timex Fake-Header Writer V1.0

Here are the affected original disks without the protection: http://dl.radio-paralax.de/magazines.7z

Though I am not 100% sure I think g64 images of the original disks will keep Timex intact. So make proper images and off you are.

Using Dela Nibbler (was it, right?) its also possible to copy those incarnations of timex on a plain c64 (using a parallel cable that is).

Dela Nibbler V1.0

copied some timex disks, but not all afaik

strange anyway protecting a german disc magazine but not the games included with it :)
even stranger that the same staff sold the ESi Crack of Pirates as "Original" lateron.

the timex fake header writer works perfectly fine, i checked it on every single protected issue (of magic disk at least).

it will NOT work using plain D64 files though. you'll also need a version of VICE that isnt 10 years old.

I've test it now once again with the latest VICE version and G64 files (D64 format didn't work) with the Game On issue 9/1989. Now it really seems to work! I will test it now with the other issues. I hope it do the same job on the 1541 Ultimate II. Thank you for the tip! :-)
