If you want your old account back (TBP ran from the mid 90s... and it seems like every scener that ever was a scener, is in TBP's userlog)... Simply log on (tbp.servebbs.com) and fill out the app and leave feedback. Scratcher kept the account applications from day one, so if your app matches lots of similarities in whats in the userlog already, well then we will know it's really you and I'll email you your PW if you leave your email addy in feedback.
Other things- TBP is running Cyborg modded CBase 3.1 and at midnight it runs something called c/midnight that takes about 28 minutes. SO. From 00:00 EST to 0:28 EST, TBP wont be picking up any telnet requests. Scratcher told me that the user rankings collection that cyborg coded took well over an hour to run. Fortunately, modern miracles of science and hardware from CMD and Jim Brain have reduced that time to 28 minutes. I had it down to 17 minutes last week but then errors started popping up. In fairness to the current release of C-Base, Tao has written these routines from scratch using some brilliant math and they work MUCH more efficiently in C-Base 3.3.x. But I'm all about living in the past, and the cyborg user ranking routine is what this BBS used, so that's how it will stay.
It has been running for a few days without issue. I *think* I've got TBP to the point now where it's stable and ready for your call. It's back online for good, true words from a BBS addict.
