BBS id #38 : Antidote
Due to botnets constantly hammering port 23, Antidote is now answering at port 64128 instead.
So, update your phonebooks! antidote.triad.se:64128 or antidote.hopto.org:64128 are both valid. |

Is this still happening, I've updated the port and its constantly busy, tried for days. The Hidden also does not answer despite port change. |

I have no problem connecting to Antidote or The Hidden since the port change. Are you sure you do it right? |

just checked both, atd buzy all the time but th is fine, remember to use port 64128 on both BBSes |

Using CGterm 1.7, adjusted the cfg to have the comma 64128 in place for both, Antidote gives a busy all the time and Hidden jsut seems to freeze CGterm for a moment and the says disconnected, no error.
Checked the addresses are typed right with no mistakes which with Antidote I know is ok as I get the Antidote busy message.
All I'm trying to do is get a certain furry creature disk version :)

Obviously the current software I use did work before and I happily leeched what little I wanted..

And just to make me look a plum...
Still getting busy on Antidote but found that I must have ignored save changes on the cfg as the 64128 was missing from the hidden, added it (again) and bingo...
Beary creature found and saved :)
Ignore my ignorance, how do you pause the file list?
Had to scroll it so many times to catch the file number. Any easy find key presses, bare in mind (no pun) its been since the 80's when I last really was on BBS's hard core, the mind forgets so much these days :0 |

If you can reach it, it is online, if not it’s busy or offline for some reason. Right now it’s up. You could always message the sysop when you have the chance. |

Have been trying for weeks by get the msg that is busy and to try again l8r. no matter the time of day or night. |

I have no idea why you haven't been able to reach the BBS for weeks, because it has not been down for weeks by far...
Like all c*base boards, it hang at times, but just throw me a mail at taper(at)triad.se and I will reset it in no time. |
