Release id #45809 : Bomberman C64

From Skull:

"send to me : okowicki@interia.pl
(nick, score and keycode)

The Best Score : 3,135,700 Kyle (18.02)

DeadLine 28.02.2007
Later... New release! ;-)"

---

Hmm. Somehow this highscore is a bit unbelievable.
My best highscore is 1,621,500. And it was extremely (but really extremely hard) to get it that high.
I know the game very well. I doubt that I missed to kill some monsters.

Anyway, today I will try to surpass Kyles score. :P

In the future why don't you just shut up until you have something constructive to say. Am i the only one here that feels this way?

i'm afraid you're alone with that one.

we love bamunata and deeply support him and his completely sane attitude!

This is the way how I play the game:

http://rapidshare.com/files/19237489/bomberman.rar.html
http://files.filefront.com//;6852645;;/

Have fun!

Ps: Sorry, I cannot upload larger files.
Ps2: @jaster, welcome to the forum... :I

I couldnt care less how you play. It's obviously not good enough to bet my score, or even my second highest which was around the 2,200,000 mark...so technically I came second because I also submitted the code for that score. (jaster you should have entered) To prove a point and to finally put to rest this thread, heres my tips to obtain a high score: 1) Find the exit first and start bombing it until the timer counts down. 2) When the timer runs out, round faced "enemies" come for you, if you get around 7 or more in one sequence, you get a bonus of 9,000 for each one.(around 70,000 for one hit!!!) 3) Then destroy all brickwork and collect the bonuses. 4) Repeat for all 8 level. 5) Dont die until the last level! Now.....that was easy, wasnt it ;-)

Maybe, if you play in an emulator.
The Bomberman monsters are incalculable. I doubt it can achieved without using savestates... *Sigh*

Well, your technique seems to be nearly similar to my.
BUT, IMHO there is missing some logic in your tips/hints (which of course come after I posted my video).

Quote:

Sure, but the levels are generated accidental. It sometimes will take you quite long to find it. *Highscore goodby*.
Plus, I doubt that it is easy to control all the monsters which come out of the "exit"...

Not that the round faced "enemies" would be easy to beat (especially in the first levels)

And...

3) Then destroy all brickwork and collect the bonuses.

... the brickwork contains all bonuses. How are you able to defeat all these extremely incalculable monsters without getting the bonuses first? (more bombs, extended fire, ...) Hmmm...

Your method seems to be far away from practical use. It seems to be impossible to get such a highscore under normal circumstances.

In theory you would have to play in a very fast way. Pre-calculating what the "enemies" does.... and and..
(for sure this is possible with save states)

It's incredible, but anyway.

We all should learn to love the Nata in ourselves.

Nata/Bamu: I tell you how I did it, and you still complain. (BTW: Save states are no different to using a freezer cart.) Why would I bother to view your lame video when I won? Does it matter to you that I used a keyboard (numberpad) on my emulator and no joystick to obtain this highscore? In the end, who gives a shit, I won and you lost....and I feel great! ;-)

Because I can explain everybody how I managed to get my higscore (in any single detail) - the video explains already alot. :)
