Release id #8002 : Timewaster 2

I was looking at this demo, and came across something odd - namely, this screen: http://menace.spaceballs.no/pain-neptune.png - now, it is naturally possible that it was just miscredited. In fact, the preceding textscreen said the music was miscredited in the part, so that's entirely possible.

Looking at the entries for Pain ( Pain ) and Neptune ( Neptune ) though, you could make the argument that they could just as easily be just variant handles for the same guy. Pain's last real credit was in 1991, though his stuff was used in 1992 and 1993 as well it is not unlikely that those pieces were done beforehand. Neptune's career apparently starts in 1992.

The two are both credited in Timewaster 2, but Neptune's credit does not appear in text anywhere in the demo.

Can anyone shed any light on my dark, conspirational theories? :)

btw, I tried pm'ing Neptune to shed some light on the matter, but "You can not send a message to NeptuneDK (Neptune), as this users account is not currently active."

I know or have known both guys. They are definately not the same person. :-)
Pain was probably the most talented guy of these two. I remember seeing unused gamegfx that he did, that were quite neat. That was around 1991 or so.
The logo in that screen _IS_ done by Neptune. Not sure about the font though.
The wrong credits in that part, might be because Neptune did the logo as a "last minute" thing, but the part was intended to have gfx by Pain.
Actually I don't think Pain did much gfx during my time in X-Factor. He was most into partying at that time.
:-)

Heh, those "unused game gfx" sound interesting... Probably no chance to get hold of Neptune again? Or are they already on gtw?
